Todd Rone received his first camera, a Canon AE1 program, as a gift from his aunt at the age of 14. He spent his time photographing around his small Mississippi hometown, learning his way around a darkroom and falling in love with the process of picture-making. After high school, he pursued studies in Graphic Design and Photography, leading to a successful 20+ year career as an award-winning Creative Director. In 2017, a wine-induced idea prompted Todd and his wife to quit their jobs and travel the world. What began as a half-joke became reality three years later when they left their demanding careers in NYC to embark on a year-long journey. However, Covid intervened. After 2.5 months of traveling through Southeast Asia, they were faced with a decision: stay put or return home. Opting to test their luck, they booked a one-way ticket to Bali. Four years later, they continue to travel, having been fortunate to call both Thailand and Bali home for a time.

Bergen & Bedford, named after the two streets they called home in New York, pays homage to this ongoing, unexpected journey.
